Tom Flygare

Tom was one of the first attorneys in New Hampshire to concentrate his practice in employment and labor law. His practice focuses on representing municipalities, counties and other political subdivisions in labor relations. He negotiates collective bargaining agreements and represents clients in grievance procedures. In addition to his public sector practice, Tom represents private employers and universities in all facets of employment relations.

Prior to entering private practice in 1986, Tom spent nine years with the University System of New Hampshire where he was Vice Chancellor and General Counsel. He previously worked at Harvard University and the U.S Department of Health, Education and Welfare. Tom was Chair of the Labor and Employment Section of New Hampshire Bar Association for 1997-8. In 1998, he became the 16th person to be named a Fellow of the National Association of College and University Attorneys. He is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Labor Law Section of the American Bar Association.

Tom is admitted to practice law in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Tom earned his B.A. from St. Olaf College, his M.A. and Ph.D from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his J.D. from Boston University.

Representative clients include Portsmouth, Keene, Nashua, Somersworth, and Wolfeboro as well as Carroll, Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties.

Tom is listed in Chambers USA in the top tier of employment law attorneys in New Hampshire.
